SAKURA SENIOR CARE CENTER
Sakura Senior Care Center is an elderly care facility in Saitama, Japan, where criteria regarding safety, hygiene, and user experience are rigorously verified before materials are selected. Kobler began with a 300 m² trial installation, monitored over six months under actual usage conditions. Following this evaluation, the product was selected for an initial order covering 5,000 m², marking the transition from real-world validation to a commercial partnership.
KOBLER – FLOORING SOLUTIONS FOR SAFE AND HUMANE CARE ENVIRONMENTS
For the Sakura Senior Care Center project, Kobler was evaluated based on six practical criteria directly linked to the needs of the elderly:
- Health safety: The quartz-core composition was tested against standards relevant to long-term care environments.
- Ease of cleaning: The surface was tested through actual wiping procedures to ensure convenient cleaning during daily operations.
- Water resistance at joints: Two flooring panels were joined, and the level of water seepage at the connection point was checked after wiping.
- Joint precision: The height difference at the joint was recorded at less than 0.05 mm, meeting requirements for a stable, seamless surface.
- Wet-surface safety: Inspectors directly tested traction and movement feel on a wet surface.
- Barefoot comfort: The underfoot experience was evaluated for softness and comfort during daily activities.
Through a six-month verification process, Kobler demonstrated that it offers more than just a finishing material; it provides a flooring solution that simultaneously meets requirements for safety, hygiene, precision, and comfort in senior care environments.
